Idiom Story

The story all started on a day when it was raining cats and dogs. I was studying for a test in my room. The doorbell suddenly rang. I almost jumped out of my skin. It was Ms. Smith asking me to baby-sit her baby, Clover. I agreed and Ms. Smith left. For the first little while, Clover was easy to baby-sit. When Clover woke up from her nap, she started to cry her head off. That was really giving me a splitting headache. I never knew babysitting was such a pain in the neck. I had tried everything and nothing could stop her from crying, but it sure stopped me from studying. If I blew the test, I was really going to be in the doghouse. At last, the doorbell rang. It was Ms. Smith coming to pick up Clover. By the time they left, there was barely any time to study. So I was doomed for tomorrow’s test.

When the day came, I was shaking in my boots, not like some people who said that it was going to be as easy as rolling off a log.

When I got my test handed back, I ended up getting the best mark in the class. The End!
